History
Universal Augers Ltd was established in 1990, in 1993 it became
a subsidiary of Pengo Corporation Inc the US based auger and accessories manufacturer. In 2001 it demerged from Pengo Corporation and Universal Augers International Ltd the Group’s holding company took 100% ownership of Universal Augers Ltd based in the UK, Universal Augers PTY Ltd based in Sydney Australia and Universal Augers PTE Ltd based in Singapore.
In 2004 Universal Augers Ltd was awarded ISO 2001 accreditation.
Universal Augers group now has a turnover in excess of £12,000,000 per annum employs over 50 people and sells into 45 countries.

The Companies
Universal Augers Ltd. – In September 2005 Universal Augers Ltd moved to a new purpose built facility in Kimbolton, Cambridgeshire. Universal Augers now operates on a 5-acre site with 25,000 sq ft of manufacturing area and 20,000 sq ft of storage, design and office facilities. On land next to the new facility Universal Augers intends to expand its manufacturing facility with a new purpose built factory to give it one of the largest and most modern auger manufacturing facilities in Europe.
Through its divisional company Universal Quarry and Recycling the company also sells to the quarry, agricultural and green waste recycling industry.
In our 20,000 sq ft stores we stock over 3,000 lines of product for the drilling, quarry, agricultural and green waste recycling industry. Service is key to our success and through our distribution network we are able to despatch orders the same day for delivery anywhere in the world.
In the last 5 years Universal Augers Ltd has invested over £750,000 in CNC machinery - these include CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, CNC slotting machines and CNC profiling machines. These machines are able to produce hollow stem CFA couplings to every piling machine currently produced. Universal Augers is a fully independent auger manufacturer, with profiling, pressing, machining and fabrication all on one site.

Universal Augers PTY Ltd. – A mirror image of Universal Augers UK originally established over 30 years ago, based in Sydney Australia a 25,000 sq ft facility servicing the Australasian markets with full manufacturing, distribution and sales facilities servicing the foundation, utility and agricultural markets.
Universal Augers PTE Ltd. – Based in Singapore this central location gives us access to all the Asian markets, this sales and marketing operation has expanded considerably and now services the foundation, utility, quarry and tunnelling markets.

Universal Augers Gulf FZCO. – Formed in 2004 this business was established to expand Universal Augers already substantial business in the Middle East. As the market expanded considerably it was necessary to have our own warehouse, distribution facility and sales personnel in the region, with an excellent local partner Universal Augers Gulf is now the leading supplier of foundation drilling tools and drilling accessories to the piling and foundation market, it sells throughout the UAE and beyond.

Universal Augers SRO – Our Shanghai based design and purchasing operation, outsourcing has become an increasingly important part of any modern business to maintain its competitive edge.

Universal Augers employees collectively have more experience in their specialist fields than almost any other company in the business. Specialist product managers handle all our product lines, these indivuals have the knowledge and experience to provide commitment of services to all our clients from initial enquiry, design, quotation, delivery and after sales.
In January 2006 Universal Augers employed it own specialist designer, using the Solid Works 3-dimension design package we are now able to design any type of auger or accessory, load test and give a visual presentation to the client of what can be produced for them prior to order or delivery.
Universal Augers group can boast over 2000 active customers worldwide ranging from major PLC’s to small sole traders. Our clients include - Caterpillar, Ingersoll Rand, Bachy Soletanche, Bomford Turner, regardless of the size of your business we provide the same level of service, commitment

Manufacturing
Our modern Fabrication facility is staffed by qualified coded
welders who use the most modern and up to date welding equipment. This ensures a highly efficient and top quality product. We pride ourselves in being able to handle the smallest Auger to the largest Foundation Drilling Tool. Using our Unique “PENGO” 100 tonne press we can bend 1,500mm Diameter 50mm thick cold steel plate to infinite pitches for Auger Flight segments. We also currently have under development a new press which will increase this to over 2,500mm in diameter. Just another example of our continuous development program.
